The internationaly recognized University (third biggest university in Spain) with approximately 50.000 students contributes to Granadas dynamic and lively atmosphere. In this motivating atmosphere makes it easier to learn Spanish with the support of competent teachers who know how to transform studies into a great event. You will have fun practicing Spanish in the numerous pubs, taverns and wine shops the school is surrounded by, which will for sure create some unforgetable nights.

Our partner Spanish school was established in 1993 in the beautiful city of the Alhambra, which is considered one of the Wonders of the World. The geographic location of Granada is privileged, because it is only 30 minutes far from the natural park of Sierra Nevada and its winter ski resort, and only 1 hour far from the Costa Tropical.

The school is in the very city centre, in the unique quarter of El Realejo, less than 5 minutes walking from Puerta Real, the Cathedral, Gran Via de Colón, theatres, hotels, restaurants, shops etc. To sum up, you will be able to learn Spanish in the calm atmosphere prevailing in this Realejo area and at a stone's throw from the heart of the city, surrounded by all the facilities and comforts

Intensive Course 25 hours week Spanish courses

5 classes / day
With 2 classes of communicative grammar; 2 classes of vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing practice; and 1 extra class of grammar review or communicative practice with new vocabulary and expressions. All the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are covered in the course.

Superintensive Spanish Course 30 lessons / week Spanish courses

Preparatory Courses for Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.)
25 lessons / week

5 classes / day Spanish lesson
The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) are official certificates, which prove the Spanish competence and command, given by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. There are three levels: DELE Beginner, Intermediate and Proficiency level.
IMSOL offers preparatory courses for the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.) exams. This course has 5 classes / day specifically centred in familiarizing participants with the 5 different tests involved in the exam:
Oral Expression
Reading Comprehension
Use of Language
Writing
It is necessary that participants have already approximately the level of the exam they wish to do If not, the school will inform about the best option for them
(Examination charges are not included in the price of the course but we can arrange the papers for the inscription and provide participants with all the information about the dates and time of the different exams, etc. because we are a FEDELE Granada centre, organizer of DELE of Instituto Cervantes in this city).
Levels: B1, C1 and C2.

Conversation and Vocabulary Courses 10 lessons / week

2 classes / day
These course has 2 classes on vocabulary and conversation, with oral and writing production per day, covering the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
Minimum Level: All.
Starting Dates: Any Monday, throughout the year.
Min. Duration: 1 week.

Accommodation

General Conditions for the accommodation:
The week's stay begins on the Sunday before the start of the course and ends on the Saturday just after the end of it.

Supplements:
Extra Nights: The price for extra nights (arrival before or departure after the established dates) depends on the type of accommodation.
Accompanying Person: It is possible to come with an "accompanying person", who does not wish to take part in any course but need accommodation. This person will pay for the accommodation he/she chooses + an extra (see price list) and can take part in all the extra activities organized by the school.
Arrival time: About after 16.00 h
Departure time: Before 12.00 h

The average distance from the apartments to our school is about 15 minutes in Granada.

Host Family

Half board (two meals: breakfast, lunch or dinner) or full board (three meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner), single or double room. A washing of clothes per week is included. It is necessary to include in the enrollment any kind of allergies, nutritional habits, if smoker or not etc.

Activities

ACTIVITIES INCLUDED IN THE COURSE PRICE Excursion

On Mondays, we invite you to a city guided tour. Walk through the most interesting areas with a guide's explanation. We will visit the most emblematic areas and the old centre, discovering courios details about the history and the legends of the origins of the towns. In Granada: Albaicín, Realejo and Sacromonte quarters, historical centre, legends’ tour, churches’ tour, etc.;
In order to improve the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), every week we organize workshops in music, phonetics, etc.; debates on current events; activities that will also put students in contact with the nowadays reality of Spain: Workshops and Monographs about Spanish and Latin-American history, culture, literature.
As a complement to the tuition, every week we offer 2 different levels of tutorials about real situations ("En el Aeropuerto", "En los grandes Almacenes", etc.) and about grammar, dealing with the most difficult points of the Spanish language ("Ser y Estar", "Preposiciones", "Por y Para", "Diferencias entre los pasados", etc.).

ACTIVITIES NOT INCLUDED IN THE COURSE PRICE

Visits to some museums, monuments and shows which you have to pay for, Excursion with a guide of the school. Granada: Visit to the Alhambra and Generalife; Visit to the House-Museum García Lorca in Huerta de San Vicente and in Fuente Vaqueros and to the House-Museum Manuel de Falla; Visit to the Royal Chapel and the Cathedral; La Zambra Museum; Flamenco shows; etc.

Tapas' Tour: This is the most popular activity among students. Granada province is well-known all over the world for its tapas; it is not only a tradition, but also a way of life. Students will go to different bars, where for each drink you can taste one tapa for free (for example: a portion of tortilla española, potatoes, fish, meat in different styles, etc.). In this activity, students will pay for what they drink.
International dinners: We organize dinners in which both students and teachers will cook a traditional dish of their country or region. Everyone will taste different dishes and share traditions and recipes in SPANISH.
Cooking Workshops: In which you can learn how to cook the main dishes of the Spanish cookery and then enjoy tasting them together.
